The central location of Clarendon1021 within the Washington, DC metro region was the heart of the presale campaign for the project, and the Presales Web Site was the key tool in this campaign. Via this Flash-rich site over a period of just 90 days from June through early September 2004, more than 6,000 potential buyers registered to participate in the no-obligation Priority Purchaser Program for Clarendon1021. The site included custom photography and interactive segments like a community entertainment/dining/shopping map.

The online registration culminated in a September 14, 2004 event, attended by more than 3,000 of the 6,000+ registrants. The evening resulted in more than 1,500 sales appointments, and Clarendon1021 sold out in a little more than 100 days. And the client’s pricing hurdle was definitely overcome…final sales prices were approximately $600 per square foot. The Web site also won marketing awards on regional and national levels.
